And the Democrats will look like idiots for not doing it first.

The Republicans should do everything in their power to distance themselves from this President and the War in Iraq if they want to survive at all in the next election. They will find some kind of articles that they can ideologically approve of and that do not reflect badly on themselves or their own judgment - if I were them, I would look at something about ignoring the generals advice initially about what kind of manpower was needed to wage war in Iraq. They will say that Bush was incompetent, but it doesn't mean that they are all incompetent.

I hope this doesn't happen. There will be not just eggs but omelets on the faces of our guys as they scramble belatedly to get on board.
