Carville: Clinton Or Obama Will Win In 2008

(CBS4) WEST PALM BEACH A one time political strategist for former President Bill Clinton is predicting a Democrat will win the 2008 presidential race.

James Carville headlined the Palm Beach County Democratic Party's Jefferson-Jackson fundraiser Saturday night.

During his remarks, Carville said either Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama will win the White House next year. Carville also said the country's dissatisfaction with President Bush will allow Democrats to widen their majority in Congress.

Carville said no one really knows at this point what impact Florida's January 29th primary will have on who wins the nominations, but that fund-raising will be very important.

Hundreds of Democratic donors, activists and elected officials packed a ballroom for the 150-dollar-a-plate dinner.
