- Israel's Chief of Staff told the nation Monday evening the Israel Defense Forces was preparing to go after the entire leadership of the Hamas and Palestine Islamic Jihad terror groups.

Speaking in a Channel 2 Television interview, Lt.-Gen. Moshe Ya'alon said that while Hamas' spiritual leader Ahmed Yassin was also in Israel's crosshairs, careful planning would have to go into the timing of his execution.

According to Ya'alon, the IDF's attacks on the Hamas leadership had hurt that organization's ability to carry out attacks, and should be stepped up.
