3. In every state that enacts shall issue there is a rash

of the approved no carry signs for a couple of years, especially by those business owners who don't understand the issue. It has eased up around here in the last couple of years, not too many signs.

The chief is apparently a power drunk twit who doesn't want to be told he 'shall' do anything which empowers the public. I knew before watching the video he was probably a young guy..he is probably 30-35? I have dealt with hundreds of police and most of the authoritarians I came across were 20-35 or so, the older cops are almost always laid back, nice people.

Also, Iowa is a very politically active state. Everyone in public office is a partisan to their party, more so than Kansas or Nebraska anyway.

Then there's this: "Mark is also employed by the Ballard Community Schools as a bus driver and shop help." So he is actually a part time police chief? That could be at issue too.
