McCain wants to be President REALLY, REALLY bad. So he says what he's told to say.
Why go to the Green Zone in car rather then helicopter??? Do you really think helicopters are safe to fly in Iraq??? They're all 1 heatseeker missle away from being scrap.
As far as the Kurds go ... that is going to happen and it has to happen as the Kurds are our allies and they've made the north relatively safe. It's a horrible catch-22 in regards to Turkey. Ultimately, Iraq is a fake country that was unstable from the beginning. It's ultimate fate is NOT to be three different countries. It's fate it to be parted and annexed by it's neighbors and that would probably be the best resolution for everyone involved at this point.
