I need info on Bush's energy bill. Did it pass yet....in what form..etc. [View All]

I got this note from someone, and I think I heard the same thing about drilling off our coast.
Can someone give me some tips on this, especially in regard to the vote of Adam Putnam, R, Florida....especially if it has passed.
I believe it also contained a clause giving power companies eminent domain. I simply can not find the status of it right now.

Here is the query I got:
"The problem is that I haven't been able to find all the facts I need to put it together.
The subject is Bush's Energy Bill, which Putnam voted for and helped pass in the House.
I'm fairly confident that the bill contains a call for oil exploration and drilling off the coast of Florida and in the Everglades, but I can't find a copy of the bill to verify it.
Putnam voted for it even though 17 level-headed Republicans in the House voted against it.
It failed in the Senate, which means that a good number of Republican Senators also voted against it, but I can't find the numbers.
You can see where this is going if I can get the facts and the numbers.
Who is Putnam representing? Floridians? Obviously not.
Florida Republicans? Obviously not.
Florida Democrats? Laughable.
He represents only one person in the entire nation: George W. Bush...."

We have a candidate running against this Putnam, and the oil drilling and Everglades deal would be a really good thing to use.

Can anyone help here? This guy really truly does vote for everything Bush wants.
