You need 50 points minimum for a year to be counted towards retirement, and the more points the better, as your actual retirement pay is calculated on the basis of your total points. Each weekend drill is worth 4 points and every day on active duty (annual training in the summer) is worth one. So, if you go to AT you get 14 points, and another 15 just for drawing breath...not missing any drills gives you another 48 points. That's a REAL GOOD year for retirement purposes. Bush's pay records DEFINITELY show a make-up pattern, especially trying to get them before his late May anniversary.
