Even if it weren't live to tape - which is bad enough - I am sure the Dubyah team would never agree to do this if they didn't have an angle. My guess is that they have developed a whole script, questions and answers, and that Russert would not have a problem doing it this way. The guy is Cheney's pitbull! I always thought they should at least give him a jar of pork rind or beef jerky to chew while he interviews guests. It would be a nice touch.
