But I live in Texas, so my vote is 'wasted' on a 'loser' anyway. Bush WILL get 34 electoral college votes from the Lone Star State. The only times we see the Democratic nominees may be when they come down here to collect campaign contributions. They won't get any of my money: I know local Dems who need support. BTW, Kerry at the top of the ballot won't help any of them. I made a promise to "support" the Dem's presidential nominee, but enthusiasm ...? Not without Kucinich. And as for the rest of the Dem ballot in Texas in November, I already know of at least one Dem I won't support, so I'm not welcome without the required level of Party fanaticism. Maybe a lot of disappointed voters will cast a Green ballot somewhere on their ballot (Charlie Mauch, well-qualified and a nice guy, for Texas Railroad Commission?), since the Democratic Party hasn't, IMO, demonstrated sufficient mettle to merit slavish devotion.
