I avoid some because their products suck: e.g., Domiblows, Pizza Slut, most chain restaurants, Walmart. Or, their products don't fit me properly: e.g., Nike, The Gap, Old Navy. Or, they cost too damn much: e.g., Starbucks, Nike, Whole Foods/Earth Fare. Or, walking into their store raises my blood pressure to unhealthy levels withing 2 minutes of walking through their doors: Walmart. AFAIC, the few pennies one might save on the one or two items they have that might have "extra low prices" are not worth the bad mood I am put in after dealing with the blocked aisles and brain-dead shoppers (among other things)there.

As for cat food, I stopped buying Nutro when I stopped buying any food that has corn, soy or wheat in it. Cats are not cattle, so I will not make mine eat meat-flavored cattle feed, which is what most major brands are.
