Can I just say I hate Gmail with a passion?

One of my clients set me up with a gmail account when I work with them. I cannot tell you how much I hate the way gmail groups emails together into totally nonsensical "conversations". Some things that have no relation to each other are grouped together, but other emails that should be grouped together are not. It doesn't seem to have any rhyme or reason.

What's even worse: I completely missed an assignment last week because the work request got grouped with some emails from three weeks ago (and was marked as read) so I never saw it. Suddenly, the day *after* the project was due, a whole thread of emails from my client popped to the top of my inbox (now marked as unread) that said "Let me know if you can get this done," "Grace, are you able to do this job?" "Since I didn't hear from you I reassigned the project to someone else. Can you send them your files?"

Fucking Gmail. Made me look like a jerk *AND* lost me a bunch of money. I apologized profusely but I still look like a jerk.
