7. The point is
that the movie IS about Jesus. If you take that our, what else is there? Why make, or watch it? Anymore than if you ripped the heart out of any other work? It has a point, a foundation, if you will. Remove the foundation from a bridge, or a house, and the whole structure falls down. Same with a movie, or a book.

so, to me atleast, the question is nonsensical on the face of it. Some of the critics decry the violence of the film. But the violence should be judged on how relevant to the theme of the movie it is. In this case, I would say, 'very'. We are talking about the crucifiction and sacrifice of Christ here. Now, you can also judge whether the theme itself is worthy. But to say, what what the film is like if it was about, oh,say, a random act of violence is to rape the film.
