14. Well, yeah, but "suck" is a relative term
Vina and Carlos Guillen are a BIG upgrade over Ramon Santiago and Omar Infante as a double-play combination.
We'll have Alex Sanchez leading off and, though his OBP and OPS aren't much better, he was third in the majors (IIRC) in steals. We aren't looking for Vina to steal bases -- but we need a reliable glove (desperately) at second base.
The Tiger bullpen is deep enough to let Levine pitch middle relief and set-up. I believe the Tigers will give Fernando Rodney first shot at closer, followed, probably, by Matt Anderson.
I wouldn't dare to say the Tigers are nearly the team the Cardinals are. All I'm saying is they won't lose near 119 games again this season.
