Betcha less than 5% of the people here know who John Stormer or Martin Dies were, or the significance of Quemoy and Matsu.
Not that such people are uninformed. There is so much to keep up with that it's impossible to remember it all. But these people and places were burning issues in their times, and few people over 40 remember them -- which may be a blessing in disguise!
