13. "Enterprise" ran off the rails of the "Star Trek Universe"
The "Star Trek Universe" became all about hope for the future.
The TNG Federation was clearly a force for good and enlightenment.
Even DS9 and Voyager were extensions of this hopeful universe,
although DS9 clearly explored some bleaker corners of it.

By comparison, the "Enterprise" Earth is just a bunch of folks
who had the moral equivalent of the World Trade Centers disaster
and are now looking to act all macho and kick somebody's ass.
Sorry, but that's way too much like real-life America to be
entertaining.
