i don't feel anyone is "entitled" to a tip, and i certainly will not leave a tip if i received poor service. nor do i feel that by frequenting my local bar and having a drink that i am enjoying myself at the expense of others. the owners of the establishment certainly discourage people from tipping by charging *outrageous* amounts for drinks. if anyone is doing the exploiting (of employees and customers) its the owners of the bar. oh wait...that's called "business." we should do what other civilized countries do...automatically add a gratituity to the tab.
