I take 1 Rx med; Vioxx 25mg, (NSAID), once a day on a regular basis for osteoarthritis in my C-Spine. Occasionally, I take 1 10mg diazepam, (Valium), for muscle spasms around my shoulders and neck, but I try to avoid using it unless things get a little too 'out of hand' with the spasms. I'd rather go with moist heat and stretch exercises, and use diazepam as a 'last resort'.

The literature on Vioxx says little about psychoactive situations.
Diazepam however, can have some pretty heavy psychoactive situations. Since I rarely use it, especially over the past month or so, even with half-life taken into account, I can't see the connection, although it may certainly exist.

You bring up an excellent point about what is taken into the body though. While I don't use any 'herbal remedies' per se; I certainly use herbs and spices in cooking. This may well be worth looking into. (Sure hope Oregano and Garlic don't cause this, I can't picture giving up Italian food!)

Nightmares are extremely rare for me...in fact I can't recall when I had the last one, maybe 35 years ago. I don't scare easily, and am usually in control of the things around me. I am a 'Type B' person, and work well with others; that is why I find the 'gargoyle like' situation somewhat unnerving. (Then again I saw Nancy Reagan on the tube the other night, and that is somewhat "gargoylish").
