years or so back and the price skyrocketed, comparatively speaking. of course you need to have a flexible schedule because the ship could be in the middle of a leg and get a call to pick up a load somewhere 2000 miles out of the way and it changes course for the new destination. but the state rooms are usually fairly big and the food is excellent.
