10,000 posts...how does one say "thanks" in one post? [View All]

For my 10,000th post, I’d just like to give my most sincere thanks to the DU community. I’ve learned more here than probably anywhere else. I’m a much better activist, in every forum, thanks to what I’ve garnered here. My promise, in response to and in thanks for my ongoing education here, is that I’ll never stop. I’ll never give up the fight for what’s right, both in and for this country, but also in and for the world community. I love knowing that I’m a part of the movement that takes this country back, for good.

That said, I’d also like to offer a sincere apology to the DU Mods and Admin over my tenure here. Of my 10,000, I’m sure that several hundred probably deserved to get me thoroughly spanked. You all deserve praise for doing a job that is largely thankless, and likely brings you more negative attention and feedback than it should.

Speaking of Admin, Elad, again, thanks for the VVAR Forum. Though I’m oftentimes the black eye on the face of The Tofu Ghetto, I’m still very thankful.

Additionally, I’ve gained a number of what I’d call “friends” here. I’ve also learned a LOT about respecting others that I disagree with in big ways, too. I’ve actually grown as a person thanks to DU. Shocking? Probably not.

Lastly, if not for DU, LeftyMom would just be another person I don’t know, and never would know, thousands of miles away, rather than what I hope she will be. Yeah, I'll be sappy...I love you, sweetie.

Thanks, DU! Now, on to the next 10,000…
