I highly recommend seeing it.

The parallels of the McCarthy era to today are striking, and all too familiar. The complacency of the media. The use of fear mongering as a power grabbing tool. The dragging of anyone's name through the mud who did not jump in lockstep with the insanity of the era. The attempt in the era to dissolve our basic rights to freedom and privacy while saying it was being done in the name of freedom is striking, and frightening at the same time.

During McCarthy's speeches, I mentally replaced the word "communist" with "terrorist", and almost got verbatim every speech I have ever heard promoting the patriot act.

Just see it with an open mind, and soak it all in. Especially if you are under 50.
