ive done plenty of those... i dont know why.

one of my first memories like this is as a child is waking up in the middle of the night at 12:34 for 2 weeks straight. there was a digital clock on my dresser (for some reason, a 4 year old needed a digital clock, i just liked numbers apparently) i would see it and count out loud 1, 2, 3, 4! and immedeatley go back to sleep... my parents who where heading to bed at about this time were really creeped out by it. they watched me one night and i woke up just as the clock hit it and did my count and went back to sleep. apparently there was no consistant noise at that time or anything loud enough to wake me... donno what it means to this day, if anything at all. still cant explain it. who knows, maybe its some subconcious pavlovian conditioning to the sequential number thing, too much sesamie street or something.

its happened more than once over the years. usuially due to a sound that would kick in on a scheudle like the water softener used to come on at 5:55 every morning and it freaked me out, for some reason my mind would focus more on the time rather than the sound, and i hardley noticed it until i stayed up to find out what the cause was one night.
