Musings from my trip to The Breakers in Palm Beach.

First of all, let me say, it was beyond glorious. The people were amazing and we had a wonderful time.

Now, onto a few observations.

1. The rich really are different. First of all, there were no minivans in West Palm. How do the rich transport their children without listening to Sirius Satellite Radio? It boggles.

2. Just because you were at an event in a particular room the night before does not give you free passage to attend a wedding of people you do not know in the same room the next night because you are being nosy, or as I like to put it, inquisitive.

3. Stone Crab Claws the size of a parrot's head. Enough said. Would turn even Elad into a salivating peskytarian.

4. At $15 a pop, it is pretty hard to get a buzz on when drinking Cosmos. Better to switch to beer.

5. When walking down the street in the 'tony' section of town, if the only store name you recognize is Tiffany's, it's a good bet a) you can't afford anything b) none of it would fit anyway.

6. Jimmy Choo is a misogynist. Only a misogynist would make such adorable shoes that are unbearable torture devices. And for most of the population, heels that skinny and high are not 'sexy', they're devices for drilling for oil.

7. When the technician repeats over and over 'your skin is so clean, your skin is so clean' during your facial, what she REALLY means is 'Hell's bells woman, only surgery of the highest order can help you now'.

8. Some of the nicest hotels in the country are a bit stingy with their shampoo, bath gel, etc.
