I need some drinking tips [View All]

Hear me out:

First of all, the legal age in Ontario, where I attend university, is 19. I'm *not* breaking the law.

Here's my problem. I can't find drinks I like that won't get me mocked by my friends. The only things that seem acceptable are

1) Beer, which I don't like very much and which has a lot of carbs and calories I don't need
2) Whiskey, vodka or rum + soft drink; how unimaginative

Personally I like a gin and 7up, but here that gets me compared unfavorably to the late Queen Mum. Schnapps (which along with rum is the only drink I can think of that's kosher for Passover) is universally scorned as being too girly.

Does anyone have any ideas for other drinks that won't get me derision from my drinking buddies but that have some creativity and flavor in them? Booze + coke doesn't exactly make me excited.
