What were your childhood nicknames?

(Inspired by Terrya's "were you better looking" thread...)

I had a variety, for a variety of reasons -- I dubbed myself "Psycho" (for CB handle, back of my youth-group jersey) after getting sent to the school shrink for morbid writing; Prodigy censors wouldn't accept that as a nickname so I started appending other words and ended up as "psychovomit" there (If that sounds familiar to any Prodigy members from the early 1990s, drop me a PM.)

Of course, I was assigned nicknames as well -- some were corruptions of my first name (I was Spacey Stacie like the Garbage Pail Kid for awhile), some were personality-driven...For years I was "the Nerd." Boring, perhaps, but effective -- it bugged the crap out of me. My parents thought it was cute, though, and tried to reassure me the boys who started that were just jealous. In fact, my mom actually introduced herself as Mrs. Nerd and my sister as Nerd Junior (and said Mr. Nerd couldn't join her this evening) when one of my classmates blurted out, "Oh, she's the Nerd's mom!" at a school function.

That actually did teach me a bit about reclamation of language, and I embrace it now; I will be including the word "nerd" in my new URL when I finally get off my ass and move my blog.

So, how about you?
