the focus of the armed forces for about fifteen or twenty years was in keeping the peace, helping in disasters, etc. War? It wasn't on the agenda because we were PART of the world, not AGAINST it. Bush has taken our peace time army and turned it into a club.

For Wesley Clark to be in the army with this mission, a mission that has been trumpeted as the justification, etc. for the armed forces is an honorable thing.

Also, we live in a world with Miloslovics, etc. To not have a military in the world we live in is pie in the sky. I HATE WAR! I go back in memory to Korea. But our army has been pitched as our guardians and a guardian for peace in the world and a resource to help in disaster. Only the Knucklebutt in the white house would use it for unilateral war, something clark has always opposed.
