7. The recall is NOT going the way the Republicans planned
Some of the factors they didn't consider:

- McClintock NOT playing the good little Republican lapdog and dropping out.

- This recall has mobilized Democrats in a way I haven't seen in years. We were again reminded yesterday that the Republican trend of stealing elections ends in California! It's called a backlash and it's happening in spades here.

- Many Republicans are disgusted at this recall and see it for what it is. Though they're not speaking out, I believe that a significant number will either not vote on Part 1 or vote "no."

Six weeks ago the "No on Recall" was 25% in the polls. Friday's L.A. Times Poll reported that we are now up to 47%. We have three more weeks to go. The Democrats are united AND mobilized and the Republicans are split badly.

If/when we pull this off, it's going to be non-stop party for at least a week all over the state.
