34. It took a while, but I finally found a Slovak newspaper that

It would be Pravda. The brief article concludes: '"Neviem, èi je to normálne v USA, ale urèite to nie je obvyklé v našich krajinách. Asi neboli informovaní o zvykoch štátov strednej Európy a možno to v USA tak striktne nevnímajú, " vyjadrila slovenská odborníèka na diplomatický protokol Deana Lutherová.' (I can only wonder how the letters with diacritics will be handled the by the DU server.)

Which is to say, 'I don't know if it's ok in the US, but it's certainly not usual in our parts. Maybe they weren't informed of the customs in central European countries and it may be that they don't observe it so strictly in the USA", said Deana Lutherová, the Slovak specialist for diplomatic protocol.'

It was the fourth newspaper I looked at. And it was far from the lead story.
One had headlines (in English): We're on the map!
Another was ecstatic about abolishing the visa requirement for Slovaks visiting the US.
A third discussed security measures and the distance from the crowd for the first visit by an American president. Only 50 people or so showed up to protest.
