CASE IN POINT, the CIA, George Tenet, & the fallout

The very first thing that has to be remembered is that George Tenet was a Clinton Administration appointment. In fact, he is the sole remaining Clinton Administration official still left in place by Bush. The Repubs HATED this guy back during the 90's. Do a search for Tenet+Clinton on google. There is plenty of stuff.

So, the real question is why did Bush keep him around after 9/11??? Think about it, we had just had the worst security breakdown since Pearl Harbor. The nation was in tears, and I mean everyone. Anyone remember Clinton during that Sunday mass where he was crying so badly that his eyes were red and his nose looked like he'd been doing Cocaine all night? Try to find that video, there's a man sitting behind him.... absolutely stone-faced. His name was George Tenet.

What did Tenet know about 9/11? Was it a combination of CIA & Bush error, where a deal was made to forgive and forget?

And think about this, how do you think the regular spooks in the CIA feel about being scape-goated??? Not good at all!!! They're gonna talk, hell, they're already leaking a jackload of info to the press.

Do you think Tenet doesn't know this? Basically he's taking the blame for refusing to stop the information being used in the SOTU. But, is it really his responsibility if warnings were given ahead of time? No, it is not. The SOTU is a constitutionally provided speech given by the President of the United States, once a year, and the buck really should stop at the Presidential level.

This isn't over, not by a long shot. Heads are gonna roll. And it won't just be Tenet.
