1. In Chicago
Some tornadoes touched down in the far southwest suburbs - actually in and around Joliet and LaSallle/Peru area.

Nightline started about 20-25 minutes late. Then after the first segment they went to the scene in Utica (LaSalle/Peru area) for about 10-15 minutes.

ABC (channel 7 in Chicago) did eventually show all of Nightline, but I don't understand why the live coverage of the tornado area.

I kept flipping around and didn't see amy other networks interrupting regular broadcasting to cover this.

NBC website now says 4 dead in Utica, although when ABC went to live coverage not only did they say no one was confirmed dead at that time, but the spokesperson from the fire department said he wanted to leave the press conference to get back to work.

Was this just an attempt to divert viewers away from inflamatory coverage of the issue of the Executive Branch of the US Government trying to establish a precident of having places in the world (conveniently outside the US borders) where they may rule without any oversight?

Look, I wish I wasn't so paranoid about the media's choice of what news is fit to cover. But I am and with good reason.

Fuck 'em. I recorded it and cut out the delays and plan to show it to anyone I can get to sit still long enough.
