29. Damned if they do, Damned if they don't. . .
If they do switch to someone else, they look unstable and risk losing a minor, but in a close race vital, base. If they don't, then they'll have no one to run for president in 2008, not to mention that for the majority of Americans they'll have nobody who is charismatic and believable on the ticket.
