I didn't hear her comment myself, so my opinion is at a disadvantage and should be taken as just an offhand observation.

But having said that, it is unlikely it would have offended me, or my Dad, or others of strong southern heritage in my family. I recognize that this is a "your mileage will vary" issue, and will not say others do not have the right to be offended. That is not to say I am never offended by anti-southern comments - fewer here fight harder for southerners than I do in those southern-bashing threads - but it takes a lot more than a comedian's satirical musings to set me off.

I am a fan of Janeane, and admittedly more likely to defer to her humor on these matters. Still, I should like to hear her myself before making my judgment final.
