"Computer programmers with Diebold, the manufacturer, are working with county officials to examine the faulty equipment. Diebold officials couldn't be reached for comment yesterday, but company spokesman Frank Kaplan said late Tuesday their review may take a couple of weeks. "

So only the people who messed up get to examine the machines and report on them... let me guess - the report will say that there were no problems with the machines, only the pollworkers, and that Diebolds machines are the greatest thing ever for elections.

Registrars of Voters like to point out that no one has ever proven that an election was manipulated with touchscreen machines - they always leave out the fact that the people who could be doing the manipulation are the only ones who get to inspect the machines and report if manipulation has happened.
