7. It's an indirect censorship
With the FCC cracking down on absolutely anything remotely controversial, it's forcing the corporations to act in the ways clear channel does to protect itself from governmental fines. It's the same way capitalism works, if the government does something, it has a chain effect on everything else. I agree with lots of things that are said here on the DU boards, but I just can't drink your Kool Aid when some people on here deny the governmental actions effect on everything. It's capitalism, plain and simple, and when the government interferes with it (except in extreme cases), things are thrown way out of wack.
