I think there would be a huge, huge public outcry if Shrub in any way suspended the election. Half the population would take to the streets in protest. There would be general strikes. It would be impossible for BushCo to put down without massive bloodshed.
We would have the equivalent of the "velvet" revolutions that took place in Eastern Europe and recently in Georgia (the country, not the state). I'd be out there, and I know you would be too.
