I am not surprised.

On the one hand, they are supposed to increase performance (read: get better standardized test scores), but they have to do it with less money, more students per class, and fewer ways to discipline the students. And let's not forget the free pass parents get now.

Republicans love things like this, it plays right into their goal of privatizing education.
