Republicans believe that they are entitled to always win, always get their way, always feel superior to everyone else.

As Democrats, we accept the fact that sometimes we are going to win and sometimes we are going to lose. But republicans are outraged at the mere thought of ever not getting their way.


So when Clinton, a man who, while politically very centrist, embodied all the things they hate from a social and cultural point of view, kicked their ass, it created a trauma they can't get over.
