What Horse Puckey! WHY Bush just gave that speech

Jesus,

There are enough comments and threads here already that wil comment on that pathetic speech, itself.

But I just saw a quick 10-second mention that Colin Powell was appearing before some House Committee, having to explain himself and why the Bush Cabal had been claiming there were WMD's in Iraq. Powell's appearance was being covered on CSPAN, at least. They mentioned that it was getting very contentious, with some shouted exchanges, and that the Congressmen even brought up AWOL Bush!

This completely SUPERFLUOUS SPEECH Bush gave about wanting to stop the proliferation of WMD's was a complete DISTRACTION STUNT, so we woudnt' tune in and watch Powell hang himself before the Committee. They also needed to turn the media away from his AWOL story, which has FINALLY sprung some legs. It also let Bush speak of the non-existant "Terror Threat" which is still upon us.

Completely unnecessary, like cobbling together a speech to speak out against tooth decay, and calling for the need to brush and floss regularly!

Captain Mike
