Sorry. Nothing will settle the final question. This is probably heresy but it is starting to look like a situation where Rove said, "Give 'em enough rope and they'll hang themselves."

Let's think about it for a minute. Bush himself knows the full story and I'm sure Rove does. They wouldn't have kept quiet this long and then started releasing documents unless they thought it would be to their advantage. They figured someone would take the bait and they seem to be right. Don't be surprised when this blows up in everyone's face.
