What struck me while watching the interview was not the bumbling, or the lies, or the arrogant egotism - all of these were expected - but how utterly disconnected he was from his (garbled) words. Watch the facial expressions where he smiles or scowls at moments completely inappropriate to the text, or how he emphasizes the wrong word in a sentence. I'm guessing he's either frantically trying to quote a script from memory - and failing - or he's so detached from what he's saying he can't get his body language or speech patterns to match the message.

I'm not giving him the benefit of the doubt, although he's surely ignorant and lazy enough to screw up his pre-scripted answers. I just think he's fucking nuts.
