of skin color or maybe because they were too fat? I personally know of many instances of this happening and it was at a time when there weren't any laws to counter it.

When the laws changed, the new brown people and female people allowed into the workplace weren't any less qualified than the lily white males, but at least this time they got a chance to work at a job they were qualifed for.
