New and obvious corruption: Forced fluctuations in gasoline prices [View All]

I'm specualting here, but the timing of all this couldn't be more obvious.

Have you ever heard so many Republicans use the "drop in gasoline prices" as their most recent talking point? In the last 24 hours, I must've heard 5 different mouthpieces for the Repukes state how things are going well for Bush and they use the drop in gasoline prices as their prime example. What an orchestrated crock of shit, this up and down rollercoaster of energy prices.

You can rest assured that the dramatic rise and fall of gasoline prices has been planned for the year 2005 for a long long time, just like the Iraq War was planned well before 9/11. Raise the prices to unthought-of levels, then drop them enough in time for the next election. After all, more than half the voters vote with their wallets & pocketbooks.

The way I see it, the oil companies were told something to this affect right after the 2004 election: "Boys, get ready sometime in early 2005 to dramatically raise the price of gas at the pumps. We've already won the election, so it's okay if people get pissed. Then, when hurricane season hits, raise them so high that you'll make an obscene record-breaking profit. We want you to make enough money this year because by next year we're going to ask you to drop prices down enough that it will cut into your profits temporarily. By raising them SO high in 2005, then ANY significant drop in late 2005 and early 2006 will seem like heaven to all the sheep. So don't forget, guys, get those prices up there, make a fortune, and then drop the prices back down in time for the elections next November and the fools will vote for us again. After we win in 2006 you can raise the prices sky high in 2007 as long as you drop them at least 6 months before the 2008 election. Have fun!"

If this isn't so blatantly obvious what Bush and the oil companies are up to, then I don't know what else to say. It's got more to do with dropping the price of gas than it does raising it. They got those gas prices so fucking high, that they in turn can lower them significantly, making the naive peasants think Bush is the greatest. "Look how low the prices are now! Woopie! I'm gonna vote Republican again!" Yet the idiots don't realize they're still paying way more than before Bush started the whole charade. It just SEEMS like they're not by comparison. Call it collusion or call it something, whatever it is, it's got to be illegal. This is just one more example of serious corruption that Bushco is behind.

You can bet your bottom dollar that prices in gasoline will drop at least another half dollar per gallon between now and the 2006 elections, and even though the price will still actually be brutal, it'll seem sweet compared to what we saw a few months ago until now. What a crooked bunch of bastards that are timing this whole price fluctuation thing based on the impending elections.
