Seriously, between bigotry against doctors, hatred for Christians, loathing for Southerners, and whatever the hell is going on in the Lounge these days, I think everyone at DU needs to take a collective valium, immediately.

For fuck's sake people - GROW UP! If one or two people say something you don't agree with, grow a spine and take it up with those one or two people. If you're here, you must have SOME sense of fighting for what you believe in - USE IT! If you don't want to do that, feel free to alert the admins if you think you've been grievously offended. If you don't want to do that, put the offending DUers on your ignore list. Even better, there's a "hide thread" option that you are more than welcome to use. But if I see one more "DU IS A GROUP OF EVIL PEOPLE BECAUSE THEY HATE ME FOR BEING __________!!!" thread, I'm going to be forced to shove this pencil in my hand into my own adam's apple, just to end the pain in my head. Let me say this once and for all - NO ONE OR TWO DUERS SPEAK FOR EVERYONE!! Did I make that clear enough for you? I fucking hope so! Unless your last name is Bush, Cheney, Coulter, or Limbaugh, you can feel pretty secure in the knowledge that most people on DU do not hate you.

Having been here a long time, this is probably the LEAST bigoted and hateful place that you will ever find. Yeah, we've got our share of zealots that get a little carried away with themselves from time to time, but if you're taking the comments of a couple and applying it to the nearly 80,000 people that use DU, maybe you'll feel a little more comfortable over here: http://www.freerepublic.com/home.htm The people there LOVE to do that sort of thing, and you will feel right at home.
