Can we not use adjectives like 'bizarre' to describe the Pope's funeral? [View All]

I'm sure most posters who start threads including such adjectives don't intend to be insulting or deprecatory, etc., but the fact is that some of us DO find them so (or at least annoying/ill-chosen). The 'wake' and funeral rituals for a deceased Pope are in no way any more 'bizarre' to us than are cremation upon a pyre of sandalwood logs to a Hindu or burial in a plain wooden coffin without metal or glue to a devout Jew. Bottom line is simply this: since at least the time of Neanderthal man, death has been solemnized and ritualized,and what is being done for the Pope is simply our way, OK?
