ticket, not Senator or Gov for NY. It would not matter even if he did not carry his home state ala Al Gore? As long as he pealed off enough states to help elsewhere. ( A side note I alway remind wing nuts who say Al Gore lost because he didn't carry his home state- it would only matter if he was running for Governor or Senator of TN, he was running for President.
