U.S. planes strike Falluja

.S. warplanes have bombed more targets in the insurgent-held city of Falluja, in what the military said were its latest strikes against America's top enemy in Iraq, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi.

It said Friday's raids hit "command and control sites" used by senior associates of the Jordanian militant to store weapons and plan attacks.

There was no immediate word on casualties.

The military said air strikes since Thursday had destroyed "a key planning centre, a weapons transload and storage facility, two safe houses, a terrorist meeting site and several illegal checkpoints used by the Zarqawi network". Falluja residents have scoffed at such statements in the past, saying they have no knowledge of Zarqawi or his group and accusing the Americans of bombing civilian homes.

Note: I believe this means a few minutes ago, because it says Friday and it just came across the wire.
