35. "America first! ... and then the World!"

This is just another clear indication to me that neofascism is deeply entrenched and widely embedded in our nation's institutions and the electorate itself. It seems abundantly clear that a "phase 1" subversion that gained significant velocity over 20 years ago is seen as effectively complete and "phase 2" has been underway for at least 3 years. For the Democrats to win just one Presidential election is but a drop in the democratic bucket. The mere fact that the major Democratic presidential candidates were all on the right of the world political spectrum is just a further indication of our precarious condition. Arguments that any particular candidate was on the "left" are pure mythology -- except insofar as the narrower American political spectrum itself has shifted far to the right. When some candidate gets "100%" on some liberal scale measured against those questions that were actually able to come before the Legislature is testimony to the fact that the questions themselves are scattered solely on the right.
