Would just go to show we're no different, and hence should not be treated differently.

In any case--my thought is that the "divorce" issue being raised is to show that the argument of protecting the institution is bogus--it's all about bigotry.

I've actually gone from pro-civil unions to pro marriage at this point. (Talked w/ religious scholars -- folks who make their living studying the history of religions-- they basically threw the religion argument out on its ear)
