Here's how the Vast Reich Wing Sleaze Machine works:

1. Find a story. If it's real, that's nice, but if not, make one up.
   
   
2. Spread it far and wide by blast fax and the Right Wing Talk
   Radio echo chamber. Make sure the Reich Wing tabloids also pick it up.
   
   
3. The weekly supermarket tabloids will then run it just because they
   don't want to miss out on the fun.
   
   
4. Before this story fizzles, return to step 1. Lather, Rinse, Repeat.

It hardly matters at all whether it's true or not because after it's
been repeated 10 bazillion times, the moran-on-the-street will be sure
it's true anyway. And if that's not so, then Al Gore didn't invent the
Internet!
