I just got done with about a 6 day long flame war over neo-cons taking the word "socialist" from the National Socialist Party of Germany (NAZIS) and claiming that because that word was in the title of the Nazi Party, anyone to the left of Nixon was Nazis.

I was so thrown by the ridiculousness of the argument, that it took me a bit to really address the stupidity properly.

The way it's handled is by showing that in 1934, the Nazi party was purged of anyone on the left and Nazis started throwing anyone to the left of Hitler in Concentration Camps.

Also, the German Democratic Republic (East Germany) wasn't exactly a model of one-man, one vote principles.

Also, according to their rules, it proves that Republicans are really a Maoist Chinese Communists conspiracy, because just look at the name... The People's REPUBLIC of China. It couldn't be more clear that Republicans want to be Red China, right?

That pissed 'em off.
