You can research and try to understand "why" Osama may want us dead, but the fact is he wants us dead and nothing is going to change his mind.

If you're being attacked by a rapist do you try to stop and think why you're being targeted?

At the same time you don't go off and kill everyone who looks like a potential rapist I understand that.

But Bin Laden has proven without a doubt that he hates us and wants us dead. He doesn't care how many books on Islam you purchase at Barnes and Noble, he doesn't care about how much you hate Bush, he doesn't care about your sympathy for the Palestinians, he has clearly stated that it is his wish to see America burn, and that includes you.

When he ordered the bomb planted inside the WTC way before 9-11 do you think he was concerned with the children in the day care centers? the civilians inside just doing their jobs? do you think he even cared that aside from the many nationalities of those he was going to kill or maim that many of them were actually of Arab descent?

The root of the problem started the minute we started doing business with these terrorist sponsoring countries such as Saudia Arabia, then through events we wound up pissing them off. We can't overturn that overnight. It's one of the reasons I support Kerry, because he's the only one who has plans to pull us out of dependency for Arab oil within 10 years.

The issue with Isreal and Palestine I'm not even going to touch because there's too many different sides "facts" and opinions and none of them seem to come from people who actually lived further east than Maine.
